We have shared much meaningful hopes, for the success of our organization. I wish to inform you that I am seeking the office of, National President of the Montford Point Marine Association. My seeking the office of National President is based on my commitment to see the organization move forward as a progressive, professional and positive association.

I enter this quest with full confidence in my abilities to move this organization forward into the future, and with no illusion, knowing it demands. This will demand everything my heart, soul, and conscience can provide.

We can continue the furthering of our causes, of educating our communities and the United States Citizens of making them aware of African American contributions within the United States Armed Forces. We are closing in on our goal to ensure a lasting Montford Point Marine Association Legacy. "Preserving the Legacy"

We continue our efforts with communication, media, training, recruitment, legacy, standards and corporate funding to carry out charter responsibilities prescribed in our by-laws. This is how we hope our tenure as governing leadership will be remembered. We have "Worked Together" on all committees and listened to all recommendations from every member.

Leadership is a reflection of experience, conviction and commitment. I believe I am ready to offer a new and higher standard of leadership to our organization. Our organization is at a crossroads, we are facing a series of challenges more complex than any we have faced in the past 67 years. Such a challenge requires a leader with a vision of change far different than yesterday’s leaders.

My past experience as a Life Member of the Montford Point Marine Association, I have held the offices as your National Vice President 2005-09, National Sgt.-At-Arms 2000-05, Los Angeles Chapter #8 President 2005-07, Vice President 2004-09, Sgt.-At-Arms 1999-2002, Committee Chairperson of Birthday Ball 2000-07, Easter Egg Hunt Committee 2001-09, and Marine Corps High School JROTC Awards Chairperson. I have additional experience working as liaison with the Kaiser Permanente Hospitals’ African American Association and the College Scholarship Committee 2001-04, and the Riverside EDD Office - Veterans Employment Committee 2007-05.

My commitments to the Montford Point Marine Association has reached into updating the National By-Laws, by setting the Uniform Standards (Blue & Gray). I have done public speaking engagements during Black History month and throughout the year, at churches and community meetings, in Southern California. I’ve also worked with the National Officers on recruitment membership and updating the National Web site.

We have worked with many elected officials from City, State, and Federal bodies as well as religious organizations and Veterans groups such as VFW, American Legion, Marine Corps League, Buffalo Soldiers, and the Tuskegee Airman. We have also have attended many local and national events, where the Montford Point Marine Association was recognized for their contributions to the Nation.

We still ask that all of us renew our partnership old and new, so that our Association can grow stronger. The Montford Point Marine Association has changed and moved forward. We intend to continue our growth and the recognition that our members deserves. We welcome your participation and membership.
